How do we limit access to Solve to only the users that need it in our Google Apps domain?

To save the administrator time and make the process seamless users can activate their Solve account in Google Apps by clicking the Apps grid icon (top right) > More > Solve CRM.

Enabling Solve CRM for a subset of your Google Apps team

As the Google Apps domain admin you can enable Solve for a subset of your Google Apps users by segmenting users into a sub-organization, then enable access to Solve for specific sub-organization(s).

  • Google Apps > Gear icon (top right) > Manage this domain > Users

  • Under Filters (top-left), click to select the organizational unit you want to add a sub organization to > click the 3-dot icon > Add sub organization.

  • Click on the primary domain to list all of your users > Select the users to move to the new sub-organization > Move to another organization (top-right icon) > click “Solve” (or whatever name you used)

  • Open Google Apps > Gear icon (top right) > Manage this domain > Apps > Marketplace Apps > Solve CRM

  • Click 3-dot icon (top-right) > ON for some organizations

  • Select the Master organizational unit > slide to turn it OFF

  • Set all other sub orgs to INHERITED > set your newly created “Solve” sub org (or whatever name you used) to OVERRIDE > select Master org > slide to turn ON (blue)
